Elmwood Park Reveal!

Hi guys! It’s time for Studio Calico’s July kit, Elmwood park! This month I got add-on 1 and add-on 2, as well as a ton of the October Afternoon shop items. There’s also a really exciting new section in the SC shop – they’ve started creating digital cut files for use with your Cameo and a digital printable sheet. I love that you can use these over and over – I used them quite a bit this month. My absolute favorite albums have been restocked – the American Crafts D-Ring albums. These are so great because you can jam a jillion pages in them, plus you can use both the 8.5×11 and 12×12 page protectors in them, which is great for scrappers like me who work with both sizes. And if someone has $100 dollars to drop on markers could you please buy these so that I can live vicariousy through you? I want them soooo bad! But let’s get to the reveal!

I hope you guys like Elmwood Park! Thanks for stopping by!

jody ferlaak - Now that I am getting back to scrapping I seem to love your pages even more! You are so fantastic with your details and placement of every little paper, tape, ribbon or anything else you stick on the page. You are a star on so many levels. I am still most happy to call you friend. I also now know that a cameo has to be in the scrap space at the next house we buy. I can’t get over how much I always love your title cut-outs and other adorable shapes you whip up with it. Hope you’re having a great summer! I think Blondie is my favorite. Wait…it’s 5. Okay. It’s both. :)

Gardeners’ Digest

Thanks for stopping by this month’s Gardeners’ Digest! Today I wanted to share a new layout in the Garden, along with a few of my favorite products and some inspiring things.

copyright @twopeasinabucket.com

Another page about my husband! He’s been scrapbooked more in the past few weeks than he has in years. I used my Silhouette to cut the heart and the hexagon file. I misted the heart with some Mister Huey, as well as the mistable Thickers (love those!)

Super inspired by this page by Annabelle O’Malley. I always love all of her work, but this one is especially stunning!

Two Peas now carries my absolute, hands down, number one favorite adhesive – Scotch ATG. I love how easy this stuff is to use and it’s super inexpensive because one roll lasts forever. It’s one of the tackiest adhesives I’ve ever used – nothing falls off with this sucker – but you can also undo anything you need to just by rolling over the tape with your finger. It’s the best. I’m also loving the new 7Gypsies Trousseau line, the colors and designs are so soft and prefect for some vintage layering. I just recently got the OA 9 to 5 Chapters and I love these suckers for layering on my layouts. I’ve been using the SC Mistable Thickers a ton lately, and using Pinstripe Mister Huey to do it.

That’s it from me today! Next stop is the lovely and wonderfully talented Shannon Tidwell!

Random Friday 2.0 {plus a giveaway!} – updated with winner!

Happy Friday! I’ve got a new page up in the Garden at 2peas all about Fridays. Every Friday, our Entertainment Weekly magazine comes and I sit and read it. One of my favorite rituals. Here’s the page!

Now on to the good stuff – the giveaway! My friend Lisa Truesdell (aka Gluestick Girl) has a new workshop available at 2Peas. Here’s some more info:

If you have the best intentions with mini albums – but not the best follow through – then it’s time to Divide and Conquer! Garden Girl Lisa Truesdell will walk you through the steps of using divided page protectors to turn a hodge podge of memorabilia and photos into a beautifully finished mini album. We’ll explore putting together a kit to work from, selecting what photos and keepsakes will make the cut, and fun techniques perfect for this style of book. Lisa also has lots of tips on keeping your motivation up & making the process fun until the last embellishment is in place, and will be sharing a peek at additional sample layouts from three other contributors, each working with a different themed album.

This self -paced workshop will let you work at your own speed through the chapters – each chapter is accompanied by a helpful PDF walking you through the process and a 10-minute video sharing a closer look at how Lisa’s album came together.  These videos are technique-based and will explore creating a die-cut cover, working with transparencies to build a two-sided layout, making custom sized page protectors and techniques for working with pockets.
Lisa is using the Simple Stories Documented 6×8 Mix & Match Mini Album available for purchase separately, however, these same principles may be applied to an album of any size using divided page protectors.
The content of this workshop will be available immediately upon purchase. The lessons are available for you to work at your own pace and upon purchase can be accessed in the “Workshops” section under “Classes & Events.” A private message board forum is also available to ask questions for Lisa and to connect with other participants. Enjoy!
Lisa is so talented and super patient and fun and I know this will be a great class! Please leave me  comment with your 2Peas username and I’ll draw a winner Sunday. If you’ve already purchased a seat you can still enter and have the option to have your money refunded or give your spot away to a friend. Good luck!
Happy Friday!
Congrats to

Audrey Chambers

Heyday Arrival Party!

Good morning! So excited today because Heyday has finally arrived! I love this new collection from Studio Calico. The colors are fun and the designs are amazing. Here’s a new layout I made just for the occasion.

I used my Cameo to cut the ‘Smile’ (which is a font included in the Maggie Holmes Pieces of Me workshop at2Peas) and then misted it with Buttercup Mister Huey. For the banner, I just cut little rectangles from the Dew paper and adhered with foam adhesive. The tweet veneer was sprayed with Boss Lady mist and the mistable Ali Thickers were sprayed with Mint Julep mist. My absolute favorite part though is the paper in the center – that’s the B side of the Crush paper and I love it!

Make sure you head on over to the Studio Calico shop, I can’t imagine Heyday will last long!
