Some more Pop off the Page sneaks!

Hi again! I’m back with a few sneaks from my samples for my Pop off the Page Class at Studio Calico. I still have quite a few more pages to make and am having so much fun working with the class kit and printables and cut files so I’ll be back to share those later. Remember – due to the exclusive kit/stamps class size is limited – the response to the class this morning was overwhelming so be sure to sign up soon!

I used Gold Glitter Zing and Gold Mister Huey a TON for these pages. I’m seeing gold everywhere lately and it makes me so happy because gold is my favorite thing right now! I wanted to share some of my favorite items I’ll be using along the way – remember – it is not at all necessary to have any of these items on hand – the class will teach you layering and dimensional techniques using the supplies you already have! Really all you need is paper! (But some foam adhesive would be pretty helpful too:)

Now I’m off – tomorrow is this adorable little bundle of joy’s second birthday. I can’t even believe how time flies, but even more than that I can’t believe how much she has enriched all of our lives and constantly makes us smile and laugh and is just the sweetest little girl ever. happy (almost) 2nd birthday, Nora Diane. We love you with every inch of our hearts.

Pop off the Page!!

I am so excited about my new class at Studio Calico – Pop off the Page! You know that saying to write about what you love? Well I love layers. The more paper and pretty things on a page the better, in my opinion. I love to play with different patterns and colors to make an interesting and unexpected mix with tons of detail and dimension and hope I can help you to learn how to do so as well! Here’s a little more info from the class synopsis:

This is a self paced class – there will be 4 PDFs containing 24 new projects, all available to you on September 1st. All students will receive an embellishment kit of layering essentials, including an exclusive stamp set. This kit will ship free to you, no matter where you are! The class also comes with exclusive downloads – a printable PDF and seven die cut files. In addition, you’ll have access to a private message board where you can ask Jen all of your layering questions! Here’s a look at what the PDFs will cover :

PDF 1 : Adding detail and dimension with paper layers, ephemera, mists and ink.
PDF 2 : Creating layers from stamps, punches, die cuts and dimensional paper techniques
PDF 3 :Layering in Mini Albums
PDF 4 : Layering tips and tricks from Jen

I plan to include a few videos along the way and cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of layering to how to store those super dimensional pages in an album. I’ll be on hand in the message board or available via e-mail to answer any questions you may have along the way! I want this to be a great experience for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or an expert.

I have an amazing line up of contributors to this class  - Wilna Furstenburg, Kim Stewart, Rahel Menig, Christine Middlecamp, Stephanie Dagan, Kinsey Wilson, Keisha Campbell, Sophie Crespy, Sasha Farina, Danielle Flanders. Their styles vary from clean to detailed to artsy, but they all have one thing in common – they have a way with layers. I’ve seen some of these projects rolling in already and I am here to tell you they are all stunning! Such a varied range of styles and they all make beautiful work!

The class is $29.00 and with your purchase you will receive a layering kit that includes exclusive stamps (see that ‘Shine? Hand drawn by the ever talented Wilna Furstenburg – I love her style!) as well as exclusive printables and cut files. If you don’t have a cameo, you can use the cut files as brushes too!

Due to the exclusive kit, class size is limited. The response so far this morning has been overwhelming so be sure to hurry up and reserve your spot!

I’ll be back with some more info on the class as well as some more sneaks in the days to come, but in the meantime I hope to see you there and please feel free to e-mail me at jenjock1@yahoo.com with any questions you may have!

Summer of ’69!

Happy Studio Calico Reveal night! This month, I got the main kit, add on 1 and add on 3, as well as More Vellum. Some of my favorite items this month were the digital printables and the Silhouette cut files, the stamp from Five & Dime, the Basic Grey Clippings in Drive In and the SC exclusive papers in Summer of 69.

This was my main kit only page. I also used the printables and Silhouette files and a whole lot of punches.

This might be my favorite this month. I busted out the Vellum and loved it, and those little index tabs in Drive In are awesome.

Lots of printables and Silhouette use on this page. I used Grapefruit Zing on the chevron stamp.

Love those flag banner cut files. I layered them with the Instaframe cut files and then embossed the chevron with Gold Zing. The little tiny stars were punched out and then I just added some glitter underneath.

This one came together fairly easily. I used the Hexagon cut files and layered them on top of scrap squares and then just added a doily and my title.

Our Nonie Bird. I love this photo, and I love her nickname. I also love those Basic Grey Clippings banners. At CHA I found out that the top parts can fold down too to add even more dimension – I learned that a little too late.:)

Those confetti tags have my heart.

More gold Zinged chevron stamp. I love gold, I love chevron.

Just a quick and easy card I whipped up. The tab is from the SC exclusive die cuts in the main.

That’s it for me – it’s been crazy busy around here and I have something really fun coming up soon so I’ve been scrapping my life away. Just how I like it.:)

Summer of ’69 Sneaks!

Some super late Studio Calico sneaks from me, as usual. This month I got add-on 1 and add-on 3. The stamp in add-on 1 is my new favorite, and add-on 3 has lots of fun items as well.  I also got more vellum and used the heck out of it this month, along with Grapefruit Zing, Gold Glitter Zing, all of this month’s digital shop items and some black licorice Divine Twine.

Studio Calico Summer CHA!

I just got home from a wonderful week filled with lots of yummy scrapbook supplies, old and new friends, great food and VERY little sleep. (But it was all worth it:)

I’m excited to share the layouts I created for Studio Calico’s CHA booth. I got to work with all 3 new lines – Yearbook, Classic Calico and Wonderland.

This page was so much fun to make. it’s a mix of all 3 new lines – the colored pinwheels are cut from a sheet of Classic Calico paper – I hand painted them with some Mister Huey and then stitched. I love, love love the numbered paperclips. One of my favorite items this release!

This page uses Wonderland – lots of little bits and pieces and tons of layering. i cut the ‘Christmas’ with my Cameo and but left it attached and added some papers underneath. I outlined the letters with my white pen and added in some veneers and other small embellishments.

Classic Calico Vol. 2 – I love those little heart stickers and stitched them to make a garland. I cut up some of the new journaling pockets to tuck underneath my papers to add some more layers and dimension.

And finally – yearbook! I am so in love with this new line. The color palette is awesome and the designs are so much fun – it’s totally not just for school themed layouts.

Hope you guys like these – I had a lot of fun making them!
