Studio Calico Neverland Reveal – Cards

Hi guys! Happy reveal day! We’re doing something a wee bit different at Studio Calico this month and the entire Creative Team gallery will be live at subscriber reveal (12 noon eastern time). Kits won’t be available for purchase to non-subscribers until the late reveal (12 pm eastern).

This month, I worked with the main scrapbook kit, the card kit, the Project Life kit, add-on 1 and add-on 3. I also got some more tags from the shop – I can’t get enough of those, and I used my gold leafing pen a little bit here and there. I also used the heck out of this month’s printable files.

Hi guys! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve decided since I have so many projects to divide up my blog posts into one for scrapbooking and one for cardmaking. You can see the card post here if you like.

On to the kits. This month, I got the main scrapbook kit, card kit, big screen, matinee and the Project Life add-on. I don’t do Project Life but love those cards for my projects. I also got this awesome gold leafing pen that I used a TON – I highly recommend it.

Love this – gold leafing pen

Gold is one of my favorite trends in scrapbooking right now, and I’ve found a super simple way to get a really vivid and shiny gold color on your scrapbooking projects, be it veneers or paper or chipboard or whatever.  It’s this little gold leafing pen and it is perfect for adding a touch of shine to your pages.

I’ve used it a few different ways on the projects above. I colored my wood veneers with it, outlined some cardstock letters that had been cut with my Cameo, and my favorite technique – I colored in a V mask and and then cut out each V which gave me an awesome embellishment. You can see that technique a little more closely here and see how vividly it colors in white cardstock. I used my gold pen a ton on my Studio Calico kit projects this month, you can see it in action over at my kit gallery.
