Pop off the Page V. 2.0!!

I am so excited to finally let the cat out of the bag and tell you that I am teaching another Pop off the Page class at Studio Calico!

We had SO much fun last time, the class sold out in a matter of days and there’ve  been a ton of requests for another class. We’re going to cover every aspect of layering; subtle layers, big, bold layers, mixed media layers, digital layers and more.  The contributor list is INSANE and is filled with some of my favorite paper crafters. There is a class kit (pictured above), but supplies are limited so be sure to sign up early.

Here’s the class description:

Feeling a little flat? Join layering expert Jen Jockisch for this sequel to last year’s popular class and learn how to layer your paper and embellishments to add detail, dimension and visual interest to any project. We’ll be kicking off the class with a refresher PDF to discuss ideas shared in the first class, and will follow that up with four PDFs discussing even more concepts in layering. In the end, you’ll have access to 5 PDFs filled with 28 new projects, 2 videos (one from Jen and one from Celine) and oodles of Pop Off The Page tips and tricks.

Jen is joined by a talented group of contributors – they have a diverse range of styles, but they all know how to rock the layers. Becky Novacek, Celine Navarro, Dawn McVey, Debee Campos, Emily Branch, Jill Sprott, Kim Stewart, Lilith Eeckels, Lisa Spangler, Marcy Penner, Patricia Roebuck, Sasha Farina, Shanna Noel, Stephanie Bryan and Stephanie Dagan will each be sharing a project and their own personal layering tips.

While supplies last, students will receive an embellishment kit of layering essentials, including an exclusive stamp set. This kit will ship free to you, no matter where you are! We will update this page when the class kit is sold out. The class also comes with exclusive downloads – printables from In A Creative Bubble and Blinks of Life and die cut files in .svg, .png and .studio from Kinsey Wilson.

In addition, you’ll have access to a private message board where you can ask Jen all of your layering questions! Here’s a look at the class syllabus :

May 1 : Layering refresher – layouts from Jen, Marcy, Becky, Lilith and Sasha

May 6 : Layering with mixed media – layouts from Jen, Jill, Celine and Shanna, card from Lisa

May 13 : Layering with paper techniques – layouts from Jen, Patricia, and Kim, card from Dawn, Project Life spread from Stephanie Bryan

May 20 : Layering in other projects – 3 tags from Jen, mini album from Stephanie Dagan, art piece from Debee Campos, 3 cards from Emily

May 27 : Jen’s layering tips and tricks – 4 layouts and 1 card from Jen

So that’s it! If you have any questions at all you can either leave a comment here or email me at jenjock1ATyahooDOTcom, I’d be happy to answer anything I can. I hope you’ll join us!

Studio Calico Spencer’s Scrapbook Reveal!

I went way overboard this month and got everything. The Daily Grind add-on (my fave!), the Front Porch Blend add-on, the Latte add-on, the Americano add-on, the Today Noted stamp set (that is awesome!) and the PL main kit and main card kit. The awesome thing about all of these kits is how well they coordinate – they all work perfectly together, in my opinion. Some other items I used a lot this month are the pink neon ink pad, the orange neon ink pad, blue neon ink and green neon ink. I’m a little addicted. I also used the gold ink pad, Wow! in Sunflower, Powder, glitter and Key Lime as well as large white tags (a staple!) and the BG Hello journaling die-cuts and  label stickers and Hey You stitched brads and chipboard shapes. You can also click through any image to get a more detailed supply list, if you like.

Thanks for stopping by!

Diana Waite - LOVE each of these SO totally sweet!

Studio Calico Spencer’s Sneaks!

I loved this month’s kits so much. So much inspiration! I had a serious neon addiction this month and used the heck out of the Hero Arts Neon ink pads in the shop. I also just picked up a pack of these awesome watercolors – I would grab them ASAP because I doubt they’ll last through reveal. A few other items I think go really well with April’s kits – Gold Ink Pad, Key Lime Glitter, Sunflower Glitter, Neon Pink ink, Kraft Tags and Neon Yellow ink.

Studio Calico Neverland Reveal – Scrapbook

Hi guys! Happy reveal day! We’re doing something a wee bit different at Studio Calico this month and the entire Creative Team gallery will be live at subscriber reveal (12 noon eastern time). Kits won’t be available for purchase to non-subscribers until the late reveal (12 pm eastern).

This month, I worked with the main scrapbook kit, the card kit, the Project Life kit, add-on 1 and add-on 3. I also got some more tags from the shop – I can’t get enough of those, and I used my gold leafing pena little bit here and there. I also used the heck out of this month’s printable files.

Here’s what I made this month. Remember – you can click through any image to see a more detailed supply list.

That’s it for my scrapbook gallery, you can see my card gallery right here. Thanks for stopping by!

WaiSam - i love how you use PL cards on your layouts! and the 1st layout is my favorite!! p/s: how much time do you spend on a layout? It seems that you are a very productive scrapper!

February 27, 2013 - 12:27 pm

jenjock1 - Waisam – I typically only spend about 20 – 30 minutes on a page. Sometimes I’ll go longer, but not often. I love to just sit down and play with paper and not think about it at all, just do it. :)

February 27, 2013 - 2:30 pm

Antje - I love how you combine all the different papers!!

February 28, 2013 - 8:20 am

Mari - Absolutely LOVE your style and layouts!!! I could do without all the Bears gear, muahahahahaha, we are HUGE Packers Fans in my house, lol…. But you’re still my favorite!!!!!!
