Happy Friday!

So I tell myself all the time that I should be a better blogger. I occasionally feel twinges of neglect for this corner of the web. but honestly? It’s just one of those things, that for me, gets pushed to the side. So I blog when I feel like it, and I thank those of you that still check in here for not giving up on me!

I wanted to share a few new Two peas in a Bucket layouts today.

First up is a page I created for the Weekly Challenge. My challenge was to lift another pea. I saw this gorgeous layout by 2Peas user texaschic and just knew I had to lift it. I loved the entire design and the title work especially. I used my Cameo to cut out the words to ‘You are my Sunshine’. I sing that song to Miss Nora every night and she is absolutely my sunshine. I used the Pacifico font for the cursive-y words, and plain old Arial for the rest. Then I just layered under Nora’s photo like crazy. It was a lot of fun to make, I hope you’ll join in the challenge!

Next up is a page I made for the Garden. My husband rarely features in my layouts, mostly just because he is photo averse, but I love this photo of him and will probably scrap it again. I used lots of pieces from Maggie’s Pieces of Me Workshop kit;  the Basic Grey alphas for the ‘I love your’ as well as the heart, some tags and the sequins. I love that kit and after creating my mini I still have a ton left over.

We’re in full summer force over here, spending our evenings and weekends by the pool and eating watermelon and running around barefoot and reading non-stop. I’ve finished a few books lately that were so good – Gone Girl, Divergent and Insurgent and Wife 22.  Looking forward to all the pre-orders I have coming, including Beautiful Ruins and the sequel to A Discovery of Witches – Shadow of Night. I can not wait for this one! If you have any great book suggestions I’d love to hear them!
