I had originally planned to only do a few layouts this month; it’s CHA time which means some major scrapbooking crunch, plus I had a few other assignments and it’s just generally a very busy time for our family. This kit had other plans for me though, and I’m so glad it did! I really just had fun with this month’s kit. No worries, no stress – just fun. And it was awesome. I got the main kit, add-on 1, add-on 4 and more patterned paper (so I’ll reference the kit it came from on my supply lists) this month. I think if I had to choose I’d say add-on 1 is my favorite, mainly for the punchinella stamp and the Dear Lizzy paper.
Made with the Main kit, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4. There’s that punchinella stamp. I embossed with AC Zing in Gold Glitter and am now obsessed and am embossing everything in gold. I misted the ‘love’ word (cut from my Cameo) on the left hand side and the index tab with Cameo Mister Huey and then left the other one just plain. A lot of people have asked after seeing my sneaks what that small chevron image on the right is…it’s this file in the Silhouette Store. You’ll be seeing more of that shape coming from me. I love it.
Made with the Main, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4. I used some white Mister Huey on the grey chevron arrow just to soften it up. The trims were misted with Cameo Mister Huey and I cut the bottom off of the larger size to make a plain ribbon. The title was cut with my Cameo using the Pacifico font. And, of course, there’s some index tab punch usage going on.
Made with the Main, add-on 1, add-on 2, add-on 3, add-on 4 and Staz-on. This page was made because of my deep and abiding love for the new Dear Lizzy papers in add-on 1 and add-on 2. I need about 20 sheets of each of those, please. The chevron pattern was again created by simply punching squares of patterned paper and cutting inhale, then placing back to back.
Made with the main kit only. I am really obsessed with gold lately. I machine-stitched with some gold thread, cut the ‘snapshot’ title from my Cameo, and then just added tons of layers. Also, my pinking shears and I have become very tight lately. Such a simple way to add a border or to create a sunburst shape. And yes, there’s some more of that index tab punch again. I need an intervention.
Made with Main, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4 + Mister Huey’s Warm Calico on the Thickers. This little guy was one of Ayla’s favorite Christmas gifts this year and he scared the bejeezus out of half of our family. It was a riot.
Made with the Main, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4, White Mister Huey, the index tab punch, butterfly punch and Grandma’s doily punch. Every time Nora eats anything, she says ‘mmmmmmmm’. This girl loves to eat and she is very vocal about it.
Made with the Main, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4, Cameo Mister Huey, Heirloom Blue Mister Huey, Dewey Mister Huey, index tab punch and my Cameo. I love those trims from the Main for misting, such an easy way to customize your page. This photo was, unfortunately, our attempt at a family Christmas photo. Clearly it didn’t turn out well.
Made with the Main, add-on 1, add-on 2 and add-on 4, Grandma’s doily punch, index tab punch, Flight punch, and my Cameo. Yes, I just scrapbooked a garbage can. This was hands down the BEST Christmas gift we received. It wasn’t something we’d asked for, it was unexpected and we love it. Madly.
Time is running out to sign up for Stretch Your Kit! This is going to be such a great class with tons of ideas that you can incorporate with any of your monthly SC kits as well as tips and techniques that you can use anytime. I’m really excited about it and hope to see you there!
Don’t forget about the reveal night giveaway at the Studio Calico Blog! I’ve been a big fan of the SC guest designer this month - Julie Balzer - for a long time and the giveaway this month is a seat in one of her classes, and you get to choose which one!
Thanks for stopping by!
ETA: Since add-on 4 sold out like LIGHTNING and so many people wanted those stamps, I have a very lightly used set of the alpha stamps from Stepping Stone that I’d be happy to mail to someone if you don’t mind getting used stamps (I think I only used 3 of the letters). Just leave me a comment and I’ll draw a name on Sunday.
The randomly chosen winner is Ann! Congrats Ann, please email your address to email@example.com and I’ll get your stamps in the mail sometime this week! Thanks everyone for stopping by, I wish I had more sets to giveaway.
