Happy NSD!!

Hi everyone and Happy National Scrapbooking Day! Today I’m excited to be celebrating at two of my favorite places, Studio Calico and Two Peas in a Bucket.

First up is Studio Calico. Today we’re doing a blog hop in honor of National Scrapbook Day and in honor of this I’ve made a new layout with this month’s main kit, 35 Mm (which is sold out!) and I’ giving away this month’s Brownie add-on. Leave me a comment and I’ll draw a winner Monday! Also, we’ve got a ton of challenges and fun stuff going on, so please stop by!

35MM!

So excited for reveal tonight! I’ve seen the entire SC design team gallery and there is some really amazing stuff in there. This month’s main kit, 35 MM, is hands down my favorite main kit ever. It is packed full of embellishments and is just so fun. I am SUPER in love with all of the Heidi Swapp items in the kits and add-ons. The Color Magic stuff is really cool and works super well with the Hero Arts inks in the shop. I made a ton of cards this month – I’ve not felt like crafting lately so I decided to switch it up a little – and I’m glad I did because I’m feeling energized and renewed and ready to scrapbook now. Sometimes it just takes a little change in our routine! So without further ado, here we go!

These cards were created with 35mm + Lomography + Holga + Butterbar Shadow Ink + Brownie  + Bubblegum Shadow Ink + Wet Cement Shadow Ink.

Studio Calico 35MM Sneaks

So for about the last month or so, I’ve really just not wanted to scrapbook at all. Period. Like, ever again.But then the other night I decided to pull out my 35 MM kit and make some cards and all of a sudden I am super energized to create again. I think that sometimes it just takes doing something a little different to pull us out of a rut. It helps that these kits are really awesome; the main kit is easily the best main ever.

This month I got the main kit, add-on 2, add-on 3 and add-on 4. I found myself using the Hero Arts Shadow Inks over and over again – all of the Heidi Swapp Color Magic items in this kit take those inks perfectly – my faves are Bubblegum, Pool, Butterbar and Wet Cement. I also found myself using the yellow Mister Huey’s, like Taxi and Sunshine, a lot. I also think Pretty Pink Mister Huey and Water Cooler Mister Huey go really well with this month.

City of Lights Reveal!

Hi guys – happy reveal night! This month, I got the main kit, City of Lights, as well as add-on 1 and add-on 2. My favorite things this month were the exclusive papers and that Jenni Bowlin stencil paper in the main, the sequins and Kesi’Art paper in add-on 1 and the Pink Paislee mask in add-on 2. I also love the new Hero Arts Shadow Inks in the shop, and Gold Glitter Pow and Cameo and Dewey Mister Huey’s with this kit. Here we go!

Hope you guys like my layouts this month. Next month I’ll be sure to go back to adding the tips and tricks like I did last month, but right now I have a couple very sick family members so this will have to do. Thanks for stopping by!
